Pride and Prejudice is an 1813 novel of manners by Jane Austin. The novel follows  Elizabeth Bennet, the main character, who learns about the repercussions of hasty judgments and comes to appreciate the difference between superficial goodness and actual goodness. Schools and parents have banned the book because it included lying, spying, tantrums, and swearing.  Interestingly enough, Austen didn’t put her name on her novels and would only say they were “By a Lady.” The title page of Pride and Prejudice said, “by the author of Sense and Sensibility.” It wasn’t until after her death that her brother revealed her name to the public. If you are a collector of BANNED Fine Art Objects, this antiquarian novel by Jane Austin is an excellent addition to your library shelf.
