2021 ENDANGERED LEOPARD by Karen Strum Original Watercolor 11x14 Black Frame with a 8X10 opening in the double mat. Acrylic glass. Brown paper backing with sawtooth hanger. Artist information is attached to the back of the frame and to the original art.

Between 2014 and 2018, U.S. hunters imported trophies of 1,640 leopards. The leopard is legally protected as a threatened species under the U.S. Endangered Species Act, but the animals are currently exempt from the ESA's limitations on trophy imports. Amur leopards are probably the rarest big cat in the world. Listed as critically endangered since 1996, there's only around 100 Amur leopards in the wild. Many African countries feel they require the ability to hunt leopards in order to survive, while other nations that want to protect the species try to ban the practice of hunting.  If you are a collector of banned fine art objects, this "Endangered Leopard" watercolor painting is a great piece of art for your wall.
