The Diary of Anne Frank is a book of writings from the Dutch-language diary kept by Anne Frank while she was in hiding for two years with her family during the Nazi occupation of the Netherlands. This book has been banned in several schools in the United States. Mostly in regard to passages that were considered “sexually offensive.” Parents also felt it might be “depressing”. If you are a collector of banned books, this is one you want on you library shelf.
