This is a 1963 book club hardcover edition of  CAT'S CRADLE by Kurt Vonnegut. The dust jacket has minimal wear and has been placed in a protective mylar sleeve. The binding and interior pages are structurally sound. There aren't any obvious signs of inscriptions, marginalization or dog eared pages.


Cat's Cradle was published in 1963. It was banned in many schools because it addresses issues concerning science and religion. Vonnegut takes a satirical tone throughout the book which offends many. The main plot device is a doomsday weapon that freezes all water on earth, causing the end of all life.  Vonnegut was an American writer known for his darkly humorous novels. In a career spanning over 50 years, he published 14 novels, 3 short-story collections, 5 plays, and 5 nonfiction works.
