1965 copy of STORY OF O by Pauline Reage. It is a  7th Printing Hardcover. The dust jacket is in very good condition and has been placed in an archival sleeve.  The binding is sound and there aren't any obvious signs of marginalization, dog eared pages or inscriptions.

Story of O is an erotic novel published in 1954 by French author Anne Desclos under the pen name Pauline Réage. The French government brought charges of obscenity against the publisher in 1955, and a ban on publicizing the book or selling it to minors lasted until 1967. Story of O has been  criticized by feminists as glorification of  abuse against women. Desclos did not reveal herself as the author for 40 years after  publication.
