1997 HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE Hardcover Dust Jacket

Regular price $88.00

This book is copyright 1997  and published by Bloomsbury, it is a later printing. The dust jacket has pieces missing. It has pictoral boards and the corners have been bumped. The binding is sound. There aren't any obvious signs of marginalization, inscriptions or dog-eared pages.

If you collect banned books, this is one you want on your shelf. In 1999, Harry Potter was the most banned book in the United States. A pastor at one Catholic school said after consulting several exorcists, the curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits. Curses and spells included in the bestselling books are the killing curse, the torture curse, and a curse which allows wizards to control others actions.
