1997 HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE Hardcover Mylar Dust Jacket
This book is copyright 1997 and published by Bloomsbury, it is a later printing. The dust jacket has pieces missing and has been placed in a protective mylar sleeve. It has pictoral boards and the corners have been bumped. The binding is sound. There aren't any obvious signs of marginalization, inscriptions or dog-eared pages.
If you collect banned books, this is one you want on your shelf. In 1999, Harry Potter was the most banned book in the United States. A pastor at one Catholic school said after consulting several exorcists, the curses and spells used in the books are actual curses and spells; which when read by a human being risk conjuring evil spirits. Curses and spells included in the bestselling books are the killing curse, the torture curse, and a curse which allows wizards to control others actions.
