Rabbit, Run is a 1960 novel by John Updike. The novel depicts three months in the life of a former high school basketball player named Harry "Rabbit" Angstrom who is trapped in a loveless marriage and a boring sales job. The book was banned for sex scenes and promiscuity in Ireland by the  Irish Board of Censors.  This board apparently still exists – it meets in secret. In the US, the book was challenged in Maine and Wyoming schools. If you are a collector of banned books, this is one you want on your library Shelf.
