LITTLE WOMEN Louisa M. Alcott Hardcover Dust Jacket
This is a hardcover copy of Little Women by Louisa M. Alcott without any edition remarks. The dust jacket has wear around the edges and minor chips and tears. There aren't any obvious inscriptions, marginalization, or dog eared pages.
Little Women was challenged when it was first published because Alcott was both an abolitionist and a feminist. She was a supporter of women's suffrage and, subsequently, the first woman to register to vote in Concord, Massachusetts. However, modern-day feminists have challenged the novel for just the opposite reason, they criticize its portrayal of traditional gender roles- specifically, the role of women in the home. If you are a collector of banned books, this is one you will want on your library Shelf.
