Books on Belief, Spirituality & Open-Minded Faith
I didn’t grow up rooted in one religion, so I’ve always kept an open mind when it comes to belief systems. While studying religion and martial arts at Indiana University, I had the chance to meet members of the Dalai Lama’s family—thanks to the Tibetan Cultural Center opening in Bloomington.
I’m not a Buddhist, but those experiences really shifted how I think about faith. Growing up in the cornfields of Indiana, I hadn’t been exposed to much outside the norm.
This shelf is dedicated to books that challenge traditional ideas of God or offer new ways to think about spirituality. Many have been banned or criticized simply for presenting a different path, which is exactly why I believe they’re worth reading.
