2021 Original Watercolor Bear And Salmon "Strength through Adversity" Karen Strum
This is one of my original watercolor paintings, circa 2021. The style is based on my experience as both a henna artist and tattoo artist. I worked on Clearwater Beach for 8 years and you can see it's influence on the the incorporation of line art and the use of patterns in my paintings.
The motto "Strength through Adversity" resonates with me and it means those who choose to stand in the face of adversity are strengthened by life's challenges. Nature's ability to adapt, persevere, and thrive can teach us how to develop strength and resilience in our own lives, which is why I chose the the bear and salmon.
"Strength through Adversity" is painted on a water color canvas. It is double matted, and it is in an 11x14 black wood frame. The back is finished with brown craft paper. The information for the artwork is on both the painting and the frame. It has a saw tooth hanger installed.
