“Strength Through Adversity” – Original Framed Watercolor with Bear & Salmon Motif
This is one of my original watercolor paintings, created back in 2021—and like many of my pieces, it’s deeply personal. As both a henna and tattoo artist, I spent 8 years working on Clearwater Beach, where the sun, surf, and flowing linework naturally found their way into my art. You’ll see it here—in the intricate patterns and bold forms that echo both body art and nature’s rhythm.
I titled this piece “Strength Through Adversity” because that phrase has always grounded me. Life will throw its currents, but like the salmon that swims upstream—or the bear who must endure the wild—strength is something we cultivate through challenge, not in the absence of it. Nature is our greatest teacher when it comes to perseverance.
This painting is done on watercolor canvas, double-matted, and beautifully housed in an 11x14 black wood frame. The back is professionally finished with brown kraft paper and includes full artwork details on both the painting and the frame. It comes ready to hang with a sawtooth hanger installed.
Whether you’re collecting art or just need a daily reminder of your own resilience, this piece is meant to inspire.
