Lord Byron was a British Romantic poet and satirist whose poetry and personality captured the imagination of Europe. Famous for his satirical style, dark humor, and scandalous personal life, Byron's poetry reflects his unique perspective on life, love, and society. He was refused burial in Westminster Abbey after his death in 1824 because his life was considered to have been too scandalous. As recently as 2020, a church in England would not allow his poetry on a gravestone because it did not support the church's teachings. If you celebrate free speech, this collection of Byron poetry will be an excellent addition to your library.
