I've been a commercial illustrator for 25+ years and I recently finished a watercolor character sketch of two super heros for a small business. Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali are two fine artists who were experts at publicity stunts and will be studied in marketing classes. Publicity stunts can be a cost effective method of gaining recognition especially when traditional marketing costs may be preventative.
