This is a (2) volume signed book set of Vicky Goggin's MOUNTAIN GODS series. It contains books 1 & 2 (other books in series have yet to be published). These are new books. The 2nd volume was just published in Feb 2024. A bookplate has been signed by the author inside the first volume. With a list of crazy characters moving in and out of the author's life, Goggin felt it was time to write about them. In 2016, she joined a writing group at the San Marcos library and wrote her first novel, CHILD OF THE MOUNTAIN  GODS. The experience was so engaging and challenging that she decided to write a series of books with the same characters through a time-line of twenty plus years. The main character, Genny, has the heart of a rebel. It's what propelled her to  leave her conservative Ohio family and begin a new  life in a lawless Texas border town. The plot line is filled with adventure, mischief, and mayhem. When times are difficult, she asks for help from three women with a connection to the mystical world. Due to the adult nature of the material, some critics argue that this book isn't appropriate for all ages despite its strong feministic characters and reverence for the devine nature of the universe.
